Действительно странно. Может у них только часть курсов на инглише... для заезжих студентов. А программа на 5 лет больше на финском... Ну в любом случае, вам будет проще к ним напрямую за разяснениями обратиться.

Ну, направление такое... не сильно перспективное в плане поиска работы... А Кенийцы или Сомалийцы могут вполне знать финский.

уточняйте. Здесь не написано, бакалавриат или магистратура на инглише. Сейчас в уни программы на ингл только на магистров (за исключением филфаков).
Судя потому, что Вы писали о вступ. экзаменах, Вас интересует бакалавриат. А он, скорее всего, на фин. или швед. И только отдельные, считанные курсы будут на ингл (грубо говоря, на деле просто литература будет на инглише, а начитка все-равно на фи\шв)

Languages of instruction at undergraduate level

The languages of instruction at the undergraduate level are Finnish and Swedish only . Finnish is the main language of instruction, whereas Swedish is used in some degree programmes, diploma courses and major subjects. Please note that no degree programme can be completed in Swedish only.

Entrance examinations
Entrance examinations are the sole avenue to undergraduate programmes at the University of Helsinki. This policy applies to all applicants, Finnish and foreign alike.
Nearly all entrance examinations are arranged in Finnish and Swedish only. The only exceptions to this rule are the Foreign Language majors in the Faculty of Arts.The only entrance examination given in English is the examination of the English philology major. All entrance examinations are arranged in Helsinki only.

Can I complete my studies entirely in English at the Faculty of Social Sciences?
A: Yes, you can. It is possible to complete degrees in English in all of those major subjects that accept international students. However, it should be kept in mind that the main language of instruction at the University of Helsinki is Finnish. Non-Finnish speaking students may have to complete some of the study units as written examinations based on required reading listed in study guides.
The amount of offered lecture courses in English varies with the department and with the year. An up-to-date listing of the courses is available here.http://www.valt.helsinki.fi/opas2009/courses.html
If the required reading for a particular course is in Finnish, it is possible to contact teachers in order to choose alternate books in English.
Although a working knowledge of English and also other European languages is quite common among Finns, acquiring a basic knowledge of Finnish (or Swedish) is essential for everyday life and contact with people.

euphorius, так что лучше всего свяжитесь с ними напрямую.
Вполне может быть, что Вам придется отмучатся на вступительных на финском, а потом Вам дадут шанс, те около года на подтягивание языка. призрачно, но все же шанс. Если оч хотите, то почему бы не спросить?

Вдруг, на желаемую Вами спец. вступ будут матзадания или что-то такое, что не потребуют особо глубоких познаний финского языка. Да и запаса у Вас еще почти год. Не потяните фин, попробуйте швед.

Kstati, ja ih pismami uze zaslala, a oni mne cel6h dva mesjaca ne otve4ajut. Na saite b6l ukazan e- adres kordinatora etoi specialnosti, no kak govoritca, ni priveta, ni otveta......

IELTS или TOEFL обязательны, если до этого вы обучались не на английском языке у себя в ВУЗе.
