We filled out the documents pretty much right at my three month max of being here. Before that, we had to go to the American Embassy to turn in some info, then we had to go to the immigration office to turn in more paperwork. That was in October, and they gave me the paper saying it was legal for me to stay here while they processed my paperwork. We got the decision in May.
