Имею двух знакомых, кто защитил кандидатские в Москве и Питере и работал в Фи... Их российские (советские) дипломы кандидата наук в Фи НЕ прокатили как PhD - занизили до лицензиата... Отсюда и вопрос про постдок... Are you...?

Про жилье. Не вполне уверен, но оптимизм по поводу получения студенческого жилья кажется не вполне обоснованным. Например в Х-ки этим занимается HOAS.fi и там конкретно указано, что квартиры и общаги предоставляются студентам и аспирантам (докторантам - тем, кто PhD делает).

Вообще, ИМХО, полезно знакомиться с первоисточниками на сайтах университетов

Как видим, правила относительно студенческого жилья в Х-ки, Турку и Оулу аналогичны - ТОЛЬКО студентам. Хотя может у них есть отдельное жилье и для сотрудников... Но вот Tsukasa уже сказал, что не помогут
