Residential prices decreased by 3.0% in Q4/2022
According to the preliminary data of Statistics Finland, the prices of old dwellings decreased by 3.0% in the whole country in Q4/2022, compared to the corresponding period in 2021. The prices decreased by 3.6% in six largest cities and by 1.7% in the rest of Finland. Of the largest cities, dwelling prices decreased the most in Helsinki and Vantaa, while Oulu was the only large city, where prices increased.
The prices have decreased the most in small apartments. The prices of studios decreased by more than 6% in major cities and by almost 8% in the rest of Finland in October-December 2022, compared to the previous year. Prices of one-bedroom apartments decreased by 4.7% in major cities and by 2.0% in the rest of Finland. Prices decreased more in the Helsinki metropolitan area than in other large cities
