Suicide and homicide rates for 15-24 yr olds in 18 nations (Austria, Canada, Chile, Finland, France, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, US, West Germany, and Yugoslavia) in 1985 were correlated with mean life satisfaction scores (for self, finances, family, friends, and life) of samples of college students from these nations.
